The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective from May 25, 2018, presents several challenges to public and private organizations.
The protection of individuals regarding the processing of their Personal Data constitutes a fundamental right.
Rapid technological evolution and globalization have created new challenges in data protection, requiring a stronger and more uniform protection framework within the European Union.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Any information, of any nature and regardless of the medium, including sound and images, relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject").

A person is considered identifiable if they can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
